Designed for ages 11–15, this series of private, hands-on photography workshops introduces participants to the art of analog photography, from camera-free photograms to shooting, developing, and printing black-and-white film. Workshops are designed for individuals or small groups of up to four participants and offer personalized instruction in a relaxed, supportive environment. Discover photography without a camera! In this two-hour, hands-on workshop, participants create original photograms using light-sensitive paper and everyday objects. Participants learn about the darkroom while exploring light, shadow, and composition. Perfect for an afterschool activity or homeschool groups. Discover the art of film photography! In this two-hour, hands-on workshop, participants learn to operate a 35mm film camera while exploring exposure, composition, and the basics of shooting on film. In this two-hour, hands-on workshop, participants learn how to develop a roll of 35mm film from start to finish while gaining an introduction to darkroom tools, chemistry, and techniques. Perfect for an afterschool activity or homeschool groups. Participants should bring 1-2 rolls of b/w film (not color). All other materials provided.
